How the name works.
Fig. 2Nobody pictures an actual salad when they hear this name, they picture the absurdity of a salad flexing.
Name anatomy.
Editorial readSalad Power is two plain words sitting next to each other. Salad is the thing most people think of when someone says "eat your vegetables." Power is what you get from doing it.
Neither word is unusual. Neither is stretched. The name doesn't try to be clever about what it is.
It just says the thing directly. Salad is the source. Power is the result.
Put them together and the name reads almost like a slogan someone forgot to shorten.
How it sounds.
Fig. 3Salad and Power are two words nobody would think to pair, and that is the whole sound event here. Salad is soft, leafy, almost a punchline. Spelling and typing ask nothing of anyone, both are common words most people learned before school.
The only real work happening is the collision between them.
Buyer profile.
Fig. 4Reaching for a sandwich with a token leaf of spinach on it, half-aware that this was never going to count as vegetables. This is the buyer who has stopped pretending it does. They've watched meal prep videos, bought a juicer once, and concluded the friction was too high.
Salad Power suits the person who made peace with the shortcut and wants something that works when there's no time to think. They're not after a wellness lecture. They want the nutrient problem solved and moved on from, the same way a vitamin gets taken without ceremony.
standing in the refrigerated aisle holding something that might be a juice, might be a smoothie, definitely has a lot of fruit sugar, and wondering if it counts as eating vegetables.
a product whose name alone confirms yes, this is vegetables, this is enough, this handles the thing that kept getting avoided.
What it refuses.
Negative space- R·01fruit-forward smoothie branding
- R·02aspirational wellness vocabulary
- R·03invented or coined brand names
- R·04vague energy and vitality claims
- R·05chef or farm heritage cues
Every refusal is a position a competitor still occupies. The white space the name claims is built from what it declines.
Direct competitors.
Read against the shelfThe name does the explanation before the buyer reads anything else. Most vegetable drinks have to spend the first sentence on the label convincing the shopper this is actually worth trying.
